Early ETRUSCAN period (c. 1890s-1920s)
▪︎These exquisite antique earrings date from the late Victorian to early Art Deco era (circa 1890s–1920s) & feature a beautiful Etruscan Revival design.
▪︎Originally thought to be entirely rolled gold, closer inspection & acid testing confirmed that key elements are SOLID gold—likely 9K, which was common in British-made jewelry from this period.
Design details:
▪︎Etruscan Revival style with fine beaded granulation & engraving
▪︎Dangling articulated drop with ornate detailing
▪︎SOLID gold components (tested, ear wires, front leaf design, & center medallion
▪︎The remaining parts are rolled gold (gold-filled), which was a popular technique for durability & beauty
▪︎Despite their age, these earrings remain in excellent antique condition & are a stunning representation of turn-of-the-century craftsmanship.
