Sony CCD-TRV37 Handycam Vision Hi8 (READ DESCRIPTION)

I've tried 2 different cassette tapes and I haven't had any luck, someone suggested cleaning the heads. It lets you record onto a tape but not play it back. Would probably work fine if your goal is a tapeless build. The front light also doesn't come on and hasn't since I bought it so about 2 months ago. The OFF(Charge) switch only works at a certain angle and I never figured out why. Has nightshot, and the manual is online on the Sony website.UPDATE: I cleaned the tape heads and it works great now!
