First Generation Takekaze Otake, Gold Dragon Script, Moriage Shogi Pieces, with one extra pawn.
This is a work by the first generation Takefu Otake, a master of Tokyo Shogi pieces, alongside Eisu and Seizan. The Kinryu-sho script was favored by Ryuzan Toyoshima, the founder of modern Shogi pieces. However, Takefu Otake's Kinryu-sho has an original touch, with the 金 (kin - gold) character in the inscription being a cursive form. While Takefu Otake is famous for his Shoryu-sho script, Kinryu-sho pieces are suddenly quite rare. I believe this piece was created by the first generation Takefu Otake during a period of experimentation before he developed his signature Shoryu-sho script. As it is an antique, there are scratches, stains, and wear on the lacquer, but the fact that there are no chips is a testament to Takefu Otake's skill. There is one fu (pawn) piece. The wooden flat box shown in the image will be included.
