The velvet ribbon is sewn onto an incredibly well carved Greek goddess Cameo centerpiece, that doubles as a clasp. The Cameo and clasp setting are 800 to 835 silver, which was commonly used in jewelry at the time. It is only about 15 1)4 inches around, so someone with a small neck would be suitable for wearing.
